“Visions of Flora” - Solo Exhibition

Space Place Gallery, Nizhniy Tagil, Russia - June 2026.

In 2025, Vivienne Mok published “Visions of Flora, her first book, reflecting on fifteen years of artistic practice. Bearing the same title and conceived as its extension, this exhibition brings together a selection of works created between 2010 and 2025, weaving together images from the book with unpublished and new works.

Exploring themes of timelessness, femininity, the human form, nature, and stillness, the exhibition unfolds as a visual reverie. Some photographs are reminiscent of classical painting, at times elegantly set within the intimacy of a French boudoir. Others enter the realm of undines and faes, as if drawn from a fairy tale. All are bathed in a soft, magical light, like visions blossoming in the artist’s imagination.

The viewer is invited into her dream-like world through this immersive, densely layered presentation, which explores various moments in her artistic journey, from early works marked by lightness and innocence to more recent compositions that are elaborate and sophisticated.

Her subjects, both women and men, are captured moving between past and present, where the ancient meets a subtle touch of the modern. In her search for a universal essence, she walks a fine line between abundance and sensuality on the one hand, and simplicity and purity on the other.
